I really like this time of year. The leaves are changing. The weather is changing from hot to cold. A lot is changing. I was thinking how great it is that our God does not change. He is the one constant in our lives. He is the same God of the Old and New Testaments, as He is today in our lives. The things that never change are His great love for us, His mercy toward us, His grace, His longsuffering, patience, kindness, and gentleness. None of which we deserve. He is faithful even when we are not. (Lamentations 3:22-24) His righteousness and holiness do not change and because of that, neither does His wrath or judgments on mankind. (Malachi 3:6) The great comfort we have as children of God is knowing that He does not change, in a world that seems to be changing all the time, in ways we do not always understand. It is great to know that God is still sovereign over all. Whatever you are going through now, take comfort in knowing that God does not change. (James 1:17)
